For the Community
At St. Jude Medical Center, we are always looking to not only meet the
medical needs of our individual patients, but to also promote the health
and wellbeing of our neighboring communities. As one of the most respected
and technologically advanced hospitals in Southern California, we are
always looking for ways in which we can help our neighbors and always
lean upon our four core values of dignity, excellence, service and justice
for guidance in everything that we do. We care for the body, mind and
spirit of our patients, as well as the community and seek to provide the
best quality of medical care that we can. We encourage visitors to our
site to look around and gain information about upcoming
fitness classes and
support groups. Other information available includes:
St. Jude Memorial Foundation
The philanthropy of those around us is largely responsible for the high-quality
of nationally recognized service that we at St. Jude are available to
provide. Today, we stand as a 384-bed acute care hospital with some of
the most cutting edge technology available in the state. Without the generous
giving of people like you, this might have not been possible. To learn
how you can help us meet the growing needs of the community, please call
our St. Jude Memorial Foundation at (714) 992-3033.
We are always looking to recognize those who provide financial support
to our facility. Through Friends of St. Jude, St. Jude '5,' President's
Cabinet, Golden Hearts and others, we are able to encourage participation
and recognize those who give annually to our center. No matter how much
you are looking to give or where you would like your gift to be focused,
there are ways that you can support us.
The original call of the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1650 was to go out into
the community, identify the problems that exist and work with the people
to remedy the problem. St. Jude Medical Center continues this Heritage
through its healthy communities work and its support for health services
for those most in need. Refer to our Community Health Needs Assessment
and Community Benefit Strategy and Implementation Plan for more information
about this work.
Community Lectures & Events
To further health and wellness throughout our community, we are proud
to provide monthly lectures from some of the physicians and specialists
who serve at our center. By sharing their wealth of knowledge, these healthcare
professionals can promote getting well, being well and staying well.
If you are looking to support St. Jude through planned giving in your
estate, we welcome you to

into our Sister Jane Frances Society and honored for supporting our mission
and making a difference.
Annually, we are proud to have a volunteer base of around 800 that range
in age from their teens until their 90s. From working in our nursing units
to working in support departments, our volunteers make up the backbone
of our facility. If you have questions about volunteering at our medical
center, give us a call today.
Wellness & Fitness
Synergy is a focused environment that offers fitness and wellness beyond
what the average gym can provide. From post-rehabilitation treatments
to weekend warrior performance training, Synergy goes above and beyond
– it also provides nutrition consultation and training in stress
management. This fitness center, located at St. Jude Centers for Rehabilitation
and Wellness, is prepared to help everyone looking to better their own
health – from overcoming eating barriers to helping achieve a fantastic workout.
